With over eight years of experience as a Series 6 registered representative in the private sector, I have successfully managed retirement accounts and plan-sponsored annuities. My pursuit of personal growth led me to transition into public service, where I embarked on a fulfilling career as a Social Worker.
In the public sector, I have served as a social worker for the State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF). My passion for expanding my knowledge and driving change in mental health treatment inspired me to obtain a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Saint Joseph, with a concentration in the Latinx community and childhood trauma.
At InterCommunity, I worked as an LMSW with individuals experiencing acute mental health issues and chronic substance abuse disorders. During this time, I recognized the critical need for bicultural Spanish-speaking clinicians who can provide culturally competent, consistent, and direct client care. This realization fueled my determination to further my qualifications, leading to my attainment of a License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW).
Driven to create meaningful change, I merged my extensive background in business management with my clinical expertise to establish my own mental health clinic, Wild Orchid Wellness, LLC. At Wild Orchid Wellness, I am dedicated to helping individuals address acute mental health and substance use disorders. Additionally, I assist clients in navigating immigration law and the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and provide bariatric assessments to promote better health. Our practice is also a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQ+ community, offering gender-affirming care.
Wild Orchid Wellness, LLC is a place where growth and long-lasting change happen. If you are interested in embarking on a journey of growth and transformation, please reach out. Let's start your journey together.
Sincerely,
Madeline
